Welcome to PxPlace ("the site", "the service"). PxPlace is a personal project operated by Wraith (wth.gg). By accessing or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to the processing of personal data under your local law. If you're in the UK, EU, or EEA, that's normally 13 or 16 depending on your country.
To use the site you need to log in with one of the supported providers: Discord, Google, GitHub, GitLab, X, Microsoft, Steam, Roblox, Twitch, or TikTok. Not every provider is enabled on every deployment; only those shown on the login dialog are available. Your account on the provider you use must be in good standing.
Before placing any pixels you'll pick a handle. Your handle is your public name across PxPlace and is shown next to every pixel you place. Handles are unique and permanent: you can't change yours after onboarding. Choose something you're happy to be associated with.
You may not pick a handle that impersonates another person, brand, or this service, or that would be considered abusive, hateful, or harassing. I may reclaim or rename handles that violate these rules, including from the admin dashboard, without prior notice.
I may remove pixels, revoke credits, suspend sessions, and ban accounts at my discretion for violations of these rules. I am not obligated to give notice or refund credits before doing so.
You accrue one free pixel every 5 minutes (Bronze every 3 minutes, Silver every 2 minutes, Gold every 1 minute) while you have PxPlace open. The optional Supporter perk (see section 5) caps the interval at 2 minutes; whichever timer is fastest wins, so a Gold Supporter still accrues every minute. Stored balance is capped at 10 for free users; paid tiers raise the cap (Bronze 50, Silver 100, Gold 200), and the Supporter perk adds +25 on top of whichever cap applies. If your subscription ends or downgrades, any balance above the new cap is forfeited (Supporter's +25 stays as long as the perk does). Free pixels have no lock and can be overwritten immediately by anyone. Subscribers also receive monthly and permanent pixels which you may spend in place of a free pixel (see section 5).
Lock durations by pixel kind: no lock for free placements, 30 days for monthly subscription pixels, and indefinite for permanent pixels, which cannot be overwritten by anyone. Once a non-permanent pixel is older than its lock period (or immediately, for free), anyone can overwrite it.
Lock durations, pricing, palette colours, and other gameplay parameters may change at any time. Active subscriptions continue under the allowance and prices in effect at renewal, unless I'm legally required to change them.
PxPlace is sold as a monthly subscription with three tiers: Bronze (£5/mo, 100 monthly + 5 permanent pixels), Silver (£10/mo, 250 monthly + 15 permanent), and Gold (£20/mo, 800 monthly + 40 permanent). Prices are listed in GBP. Payment is handled by Polar; PxPlace never receives or stores your card details.
Monthly pixels reset to the tier's allowance at the start of every billing cycle and do not accumulate. Permanent pixels are granted on initial subscription and on each tier upgrade. Monthly credits are tied to having an active subscription; if you cancel and the paid period ends, any unspent monthly credits are forfeited. Unspent permanent credits, by contrast, stay yours forever, even after a subscription ends. Pixels you've already placed on the canvas (whether monthly or permanent) remain there. Changing tier swaps you immediately and Polar prorates the difference.
Pixel Packs are one-off purchases of permanent pixels: 50, 100, 500, 1000, or 5000 at prices listed in the canvas Store. Packs stack on top of any subscription credits you have. Pack pixels are permanent in the strict sense: once granted, they remain in your account indefinitely (subject to account deletion).
The Supporter perk is a one-off £10 lifetime purchase. It increases your free-pixel accrual rate (cap of one every 2 minutes) and raises your free-pixel storage cap by +25, stacking with any subscription tier you also hold. Supporter does not grant any monthly or permanent pixels and does not renew. If a Supporter purchase is refunded (within the statutory refund window or by mutual agreement), the perk is revoked and your free-pixel cap drops back to whatever the rest of your account entitles you to.
You may cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep all your remaining pixel credits until then. Subscriptions and Pixel Packs are otherwise non-refundable except where you have a statutory right of refund (for example, UK consumers under the Consumer Contracts Regulations within 14 days of starting a subscription, provided no pixels have been spent). Payment disputes should be raised with Polar first.
Where a refund is granted, the corresponding pixel credits are removed from your account. Refunding a subscription cycle removes that cycle's monthly allowance plus the permanent pixels granted for that cycle; refunding a pixel pack removes the pack's permanent pixels. If you have already spent more pixels than the refund amount, the balance simply drops to zero (you keep whatever you placed; nothing is taken off the canvas).
If you delete your account, your subscription is canceled and any unused monthly or permanent credits (including pack purchases) are lost. Pixels you already placed remain on the canvas (see section 7). I cannot refund credits in this case.
You retain no proprietary rights to the pixels you place on the canvas. By placing a pixel you grant PxPlace a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, copy, snapshot, archive, and publish the canvas state (including your placements) in any medium.
Subscribers may attach an optional short message (up to 140 characters) to monthly and permanent pixels. Messages are public and shown on the inspect card for that pixel. Messages are subject to the same acceptable-use rules as pixels themselves (section 3) and may be removed or rewritten without notice. Messages stay attached to the pixel after you delete your account; the user reference is anonymised but the text remains.
This licence survives deletion of your account, since pixels remain on the canvas after deletion (see below).
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. When you do:
The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind. I may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. The canvas may be reset, paused, or archived. No uptime is guaranteed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PxPlace and Wraith are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. My total liability to you for any direct loss is limited to the total amount you paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
You agree to indemnify Wraith against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising in connection with these terms or the service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in their country of residence as permitted by mandatory local law.
I may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes are posted is taken as acceptance of the revised terms.
