How often can I place a free pixel?

One free pixel every 5 minutes for free users, every 3 minutes for Bronze, every 2 minutes for Silver, and every 1 minute for Gold. Stacked up to 10 for free users (Bronze 50, Silver 100, Gold 200). The optional Supporter perk also caps the interval at 2 minutes and adds +25 to your storage cap, stacking with whatever tier you're on. You accrue while the tab is open.

What's the difference between free, monthly, and permanent pixels?

Free pixels can be overwritten immediately by anyone, no lock. Monthly pixels (from your subscription) are locked for 30 days. Permanent pixels never unlock; nobody can overwrite them, ever. You pick which kind to spend each time you place.

Do I choose which pixel to spend?

Yes. The placer shows a picker next to the Place button: free, monthly, or permanent. If a pool is empty, the picker falls back to the next available kind.

Can I overwrite someone else's pixel?

Free pixels can be overwritten any time. Monthly pixels are locked for 30 days. Permanent pixels are never overwritable. Until a paid pixel ages past its lock, attempts to place on it are rejected.

32 fixed colours. You can't bring your own.

How do I log in?

Click "Log In" in the top right and pick whichever provider you prefer from the dialog. Supported providers are Discord, Google, GitHub, GitLab, X, Microsoft, Steam, Roblox, Twitch, and TikTok, though only the ones enabled on this deployment will show. You can link more than one provider later in Settings.

Can I change my handle?

Not right now. You pick it once during onboarding and it's permanent. I may add handle changes later.

How do I link more accounts?

Settings > Connected Accounts > Connect. Linking another provider lets you log in with either, sharing the same handle and pixel history.

Can I hide which platforms I'm on?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Per-account visibility lives in Settings. Toggle "Show on pixel data" off and that platform won't appear next to your pixels for other users.

What happens if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Your pixels stay on the canvas (including permanent pixels, which never come off) but become anonymised. Other users see "Anonymous" instead of your handle. Your linked accounts, sessions, unused credits, and active subscription are deleted. This can't be undone.

What are the subscription tiers?

Bronze £5/mo gives 100 monthly + 5 permanent pixels. Silver £10/mo gives 250 monthly + 15 permanent. Gold £20/mo gives 800 monthly + 40 permanent. All tiers bill monthly through Polar.

Do monthly pixels carry over?

No. Monthly pixels reset to the tier's allowance at the start of every billing cycle, so use them or lose them. Permanent pixels stay forever once granted.

What payment methods can I use?

Whatever Polar supports: major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and others. PxPlace never sees your payment details. Everything goes through Polar directly.

Can I change tier?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Subscribing to a different tier swaps you immediately and Polar prorates the difference. Your monthly allowance is reset to the new tier and you get the new tier's permanent pixels added.

What happens if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Cancel anytime in Settings. You keep your monthly and permanent pixels until the end of the paid period. After that, unspent monthly pixels are forfeited; unspent permanent pixels stay yours forever (the same way already-placed permanents stay on the canvas). Re-subscribing later starts fresh; existing permanents are added to.

What are Pixel Packs?

One-off purchases of permanent pixels: 50 for £15, 100 for £28, 500 for £125, 1000 for £225, or 5000 for £1000. No subscription required, no recurring billing. Pack pixels stack on top of any subscription credits you already have, and once granted they stay forever, even if you cancel a subscription later. For ongoing value (monthly allowance, message attach, higher free cap) the subscription tiers are still the better deal.

What is Supporter?

A one-off £10 lifetime perk. Adds +25 to your free-pixel storage cap and caps your accrual interval at 2 minutes. Stacks with any subscription tier — whichever timer is fastest wins, so a Gold subscriber on Supporter still accrues every minute. Supporter does not grant monthly or permanent pixels and does not renew. Shown as a heart badge next to your handle.

Can I get a refund?

Subscriptions and pixel packs are non-refundable except where required by law. Raise disputes with Polar first.
